The enrollment report provides data surrounding each employee's invite and enrollment dates (all time), as well as insight into each employees' participation in Groundswell via contributions or donations. Admins can promote employee engagement by curating email lists from this data to send targeted outreach to employees who have not yet enrolled or who have limited activity. In addition to downloading the enrollment report, admins can also filter directly in the dashboard to view enrollment

  • The "date invited" data is only available from 3/15/2023 and onward.

Impact report

The impact report gives admins a closer look into which causes and charities their employees care about most. For each donation (all time), this report includes: donation date, donation amount, charity name, DBA (“doing business as” name, if the charity has one), charity EIN (employer identification number), Groundswell issue area, NTEE Code (National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities), and NTEE definition.

These insights into employee donation behavior can help admins align community impact initiatives and create a healthy, engaged company culture!

Charitable Impact Reporting

In addition to the Impact Report, admins can also navigate to the “View total impact” page to access a snapshot of your company’s charitable impact. This data complements the Impact Report, and allows you to filter within the product by HRIS fields to better understand your employees’ giving behavior - e.g. by location, department, etc. In this page, company pillars can also be added to further categorize your donation data. (Reach out to support@groundswell.io to set up your custom pillars).

What is an NTEE code?

NTEE codes are a classification system used by the IRS to categorize nonprofit organizations according to their purpose or the services they provide. Groundswell has mapped each nonprofit's NTEE code to one of Groundswell's 12 issue areas.

Some nonprofits - such as churches - may not have an NTEE code because they are not required to register with the IRS as a tax-exempt organization. Other nonprofits with less than $50,000 in annual gross receipts are also not required to file a full form 990, which means there is more limited data in the IRS database. Finally, some nonprofits may not have an NTEE code because they are new and have not yet been classified by the IRS.
