Volunteer Grants
Volunteer Grants allow your company to donate to a nonprofit based on employee participation in a volunteer event. When you create a volunteer event in Groundswell, you can attach a Volunteer Grant to reward engagement and amplify your team’s impact.
How Volunteer Grants Work
Volunteer Grants are structured using tiers that unlock based on either:
- The number of participants, and/or
- The total number of volunteer hours logged
You can create one tier or multiple tiers, each with its own grant amount and qualification criteria.
Example Tier Structure
- $250 grant if the event reaches 6+ participants and/or 18+ volunteer hours
- $400 grant if the event reaches 15+ participants and/or 30+ volunteer hours
- $800 grant if the event reaches 30+ participants and/or 50+ volunteer hours
If your event qualifies for multiple tiers, the highest eligible tier will be awarded. Volunteer grants will be sent directly to the charity that was used for the event.
For example:
- 17 participants and 34 hours → $400 grant
- 17 participants and 51 hours → $800 grant
The more your team participates, the larger the grant!
You can track progress toward each tier directly on the event page, and tiers will automatically unlock as thresholds are met.
