How To: Upload Hours for a Past Volunteer Event

Step 1: Log in to your admin portal.

Step 2: Navigate to the Volunteer Events section in the left-hand menu.

Step 3: Click on the past event you want to upload hours for.
Tip: To find past events more easily, use the “Status” filter and select “Past.”

Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom third of the page and locate the Bulk Actions dropdown on the right-hand side.

Step 5: Click Upload Hours.

Step 6: Download Groundswell’s CSV template to make the upload process faster and easier. 
Tip: Using Groundswell's CSV template will ensure your file is in the proper formatting. Using our template is not required but if you are using your own file, please make sure you use the same headers and columns as listed in the template. 

Step 7: Upload your completed volunteer hours file.
Note: Only CSV files are supported.

Step 8: Once uploaded, click Review.

Step 9: Verify that all data is accurate and that the hours appear correctly.

Step 10: If everything looks correct, click Upload.

Step 11: If your company has a volunteer match program, you’ll be prompted to indicate whether the hours should be matched. Select Yes or No.

Step 12: Once submitted, you’ll see a success confirmation screen—you're all set!
