How are donations to U.S.-based charities delivered?

Starting November 26, 2025, donations to U.S.-based charities are delivered through Chariot, Groundswell’s domestic distribution partner. Most donations are delivered to the charity’s Chariot account within 24–48 hours. If a charity hasn’t created or verified its Chariot account, the donation will be sent as a paper check to the IRS-listed address (or an updated address provided to Groundswell).

Live paper checks are processed within 24–48 hours and typically arrive via USPS within 5–20 business days. Donations include the donor’s name (unless they choose to remain anonymous) and any donation note.

Donations made before November 26, 2025 were delivered through PayPal Grants (ACH for PayPal-confirmed charities, or paper check for non-confirmed charities) or live paper check (not distributed by Chariot)
