How does Groundswell work?

Have more questions? Submit a request

Think of Groundswell as a savings account for all your giving. You can add funds to your account through credit card/debit card, bank transfer, stock contributions, payroll giving, DAF transfer, or Apple Pay/Google Pay. Then when you’re ready, you can donate those funds to any eligible charity directly through Groundswell. Or, if you want to give right away, you can donate directly to charities in one seamless step.

If your employer has a donation matching program, they’ll match your donations up to your match limit. For example, if your match limit is $100, they’ll match your first $100 in donations. You can still donate beyond that limit, but additional amounts won’t be matched.

Any funds you add to your Groundswell account will stay there until you choose to donate them, and they can even earn interest, helping you give more over time.
