With Groundswell’s transition to Chariot as our U.S. distribution partner, nonprofits now have access to Chariot’s reporting dashboard—a centralized place to view, track, and reconcile donations sent from Groundswell donors.

This article walks you through how to navigate the Chariot Dashboard so you can easily review incoming grants, export data for your records, and manage your organization’s payout settings.

1. Accessing Your Chariot Account

After your nonprofit activates or creates its Chariot account:

  • Go to **dashboard.givechariot.com** and log in using the credentials you created during onboarding
  • If you haven’t completed your onboarding process yet, follow our setup guide HERE

Once logged in, you’ll be taken directly to your main dashboard page.

2. Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard provides a snapshot of all donations sent to your organization through Groundswell and other platforms that use Chariot. You’ll typically see:

Donation Summary

  • Total donations received
  • Recent payouts
  • Pending transfers or compliance steps

You can click on any transaction to open additional details.

3. Donation Reports & Exports

Finding Your Donation Reports

  • Search by transaction ID

Exporting Donations

To download your donation data:

  1. Open the “All Donations” view
  2. Apply any necessary filters
  3. Click Export CSV

Your export will include transaction details such as donor info (when applicable), payout schedule, and distribution method.

4. Payout History & Bank Deposits

The Payouts tab is where you’ll find details on funds Chariot transferred to your external financial account.

You’ll see:

  • Deposit date
  • Deposit amount
  • Status (Initiated, In Transit, Completed)
  • Linked donations included in that payout

You can also click into any payout to see the itemized list of donations included in that deposit, perfect for month-end reconciliation.

5. Monthly Statements

Chariot also generates monthly summary statements you can download for your financial records.

Navigate to: Payouts → Monthly Statements

Each statement typically includes:

  • Total donations received for the month
  • Total amount deposited
  • Breakdown by source
  • Any pending transfers

6. Managing Account Settings

Under Settings, you can review or update:

Bank Account Information

  • Current bank account on file
  • Ability to update or reconnect your payout account

Organization Profile

  • Legal name
  • EIN
  • Contact information
  • Mailing address (especially important if your organization prefers paper checks for some reason)

7. Frequently Asked Questions

Why am I not seeing a recent Groundswell donation?

It may still be processing through Chariot’s internal compliance checks. Most donations appear within 24–48 hours.

Why does my payout not match my donation totals?

Chariot batches deposits, so payouts may include multiple donations or donations from several platforms.

Do I still need PayPal?

No. Groundswell has transitioned away from PayPal Grants for disbursements to U.S.-based charities.
