How and when will a charity receive my donation?

Donations are batch processed on the 6th business day of the following month after a donation, so if you donate sometime in January, your funds will be sent on the 6th business day of February.

We prioritize sending payments to charities via ACH, but in some cases will issue paper checks if requested by the charity or if ACH information isn’t available. In the case of mailing paper checks, it can take up to 5 additional business days for the non-profit to receive the money due to shipping times. 

Charities receive one payment per month from the Groundswell Charitable Foundation that covers all individual donations from the Groundswell user base. Each individual donation is acknowledged, unless the donor has opted to donate anonymously.
