What if I donated to a charity directly?

Donated to a charity outside of Groundswell? If your company accepts outside donations, you can still get your employer's match by submitting an offline match request.

For example, say you're at a fundraising event and write a check on the spot instead of giving through Groundswell. An offline match request lets that donation count toward your company match.

How to submit a request

1. Go to the Give section of your home dashboard.
2. Click Upload receipt.
3. Upload a receipt that shows your name, the charity's name, the donation date, and the donation amount.

We'll review your request and send the matching funds directly to the charity.

When will the match be sent?

Most matches go out within 5 business days. If your company doesn't process matches instantly, the charity gets the match on the schedule your company's program sets. For questions about your company's setup, contact your Groundswell Program Administrator.
