How To: Use your Donation Credit

If your company has awarded you donation credits, you can use them to support any eligible nonprofit in Groundswell. You can donate all or part of your available credits, and if you’d like to make an even bigger impact, you can add your own funds to the donation.

Note: Donation credits are not eligible for a company match. Only donations made with your own funds can receive a company match (if your company offers one).

How to Donate Using Donation Credits

Step 1: Find the nonprofit you’d like to support by clicking Donate from your homepage or by navigating to the Give page in the top-right corner of your screen. You can search for any eligible nonprofit or choose one of your company’s featured organizations.

Step 2: Select the nonprofit and click Donate.

Step 3: Choose One-time Donation.

Step 4: Turn on the Donation Credit you’d like to use.

  • Enter the amount of credit you’d like to donate.
  • You can use all of your available credit or just a portion of it.

Step 5 (Optional): Want to increase your impact? Add your own funds by selecting a preset amount or entering a custom donation amount.

If your company offers donation matching, only the amount you contribute with your own funds will be eligible for a company match.

Step 6: Review the donation summary on the right side of the screen, then click Go to Checkout.

Step 7: If you’re contributing your own funds, select or add your preferred payment method to complete that portion of the donation.

Step 8: Review your donation details, add an optional donation note if you’d like, then click Donate to submit your donation.

💡 Good to Know

  • Donation credits never receive a company match.
  • Personal contributions may be matched if your company offers a matching gift program.
  • You can donate all or only part of your available donation credits—the remaining balance will stay in your account for future donations (provided the credit has not expired).
